Here I will post little bits and not-so-random musings as I tumble across them.

Who am I?
A creative instigator, inspiration seeking, film producing, rockstar dating, multi-passionate entrepreneur with a penchant for mochi, monchhichis and margaritas*
*not necessarily in that order

“Music is what feelings sound like.” ~author unknown | Music makes me feel glittery. So does this man. In his element. Doing what he loves. Facing the shadows and playing in the light. Courage meets passion.

Truth. It’s on me.
Ok. Today’s ‘lil diddy from the Universe. TOTALLY needed. And TOTALLY on point. The Universe is good like that.  Right?

You don’t even have to know what you want. I’ll take care of that.
Just enjoy that you received another day, and the 10,000 miracles within it.
It’s on me,~The Universe

Feels good when someone’s got your back, doesn’t it?

Truth. 2012. Is my year.
With every New Year’s come big dreams. Resolutions. Vows. Bravery. Excitement. All the good stuff.
I can’t count the number of times I’ve said “This year. Is MY year!”, only to feel like a total and utter failure come February when I haven’t held up my end of the bargain.
This year. NO resolutions. NO vows to lose X pounds or workout X times per week. NO promises to become a morning person (this is SO not happening). Nope.
Instead. I’m going to LIVE.I’m going to GROW. EXPAND. BLOSSOM. CREATE. BECOME. LAUGH. DREAM. FOCUS. SHED. RELAX. PLAY! KEEP IT REAL. SHIP. WRITE. BE INSPIRED.
Sounds fun right?  A lot more fun than broken promises and berating ourselves for not keeping a resolution.
~
One thing I am committing to do in this new year of possibility, is launch my blog. It’s been over a year in the works and I’ve been rather lax on getting it done. So this month. It’s going. Live!
I’m also committed to doing a bunch of amazing online classes. These are seriously food for my soul. Have you ever done one before?I am a perpetual learner and I love the format (go at your own pace, participate from anywhere) and juicy topics ranging from health + wellness to photo essay’s to self-exploration to polaroid mania…you name it. I’ve done it. And I’m doing it again this year.
One (FREE!) program I’ve signed up for is the wonderfully named,  A YEAR WITH MYSELF.Every week you get inspired prompts based on that week’s theme. Prompts from celebrated authors, teachers, coaches. To push you towards your edge. To help you fly.
This week’s theme is “The Threshold”. I was immediately moved by the words of Patti Digh - specifically when she says to,
“BE A CONNOISSEUR OF FEAR”. So good right? This is definitely going to be a mantra for me in the coming year.

Beauty. Ayada Maldives.

Sitting in a warm coffee shop in St. Louis right now. Avoiding the cold sting of the overly crisp Fall/Winter air.  I’m of course dreaming of tropical, beachy getaways.

As you might know, I have an obsession with overwater bungalows. Peep the latest offering in a destination I’ve been dreaming of visiting - The Maldive Islands.

Ayada Maldives is a brand new (gorgeous) resort featuring 112 villa’s on over 150K square meters of island paradise.
Not convinced yet?

Maybe the powdery white beaches, the lux amenities, seven restaurants, bars & cafe’s or 3500 square foot spa will do the trick.

Though I’m not typically a fan of big resorts (I much prefer small, boutique, intimate) - this places looks like a no-brainer.

For more info head over to the Ayada Maldives site.

Truth. Today’s note. From The Universe.

It’s true, sometimes when you’ve had a difficult day, or met difficult people, been let down, disappointed, or heartbroken, it’s easy to completely forget the most important thing of all… you’re alive. Without even trying.

~
I needed this bit of truth today. A reminder of what’s important. Of all the possibility that is ahead. The very fact that I’m alive.I’m grateful.

Truth.  Johnny Hi-Fi ROCKS!

Biased?  Maybe. But the band is filled with some of the nicest guys around - who also happen to rock it out and write really good music.

I got lucky. And produced their latest music video for the song “POLITICIAN” from their latest EP called “Love Sold Me Out” (available for download via their website).

I am so proud of the entire team behind the video - every single person is mad talented.  I love my job when the whole team rocks as much as this one did.

So check out the video ~ share/re-blog it if you’re inclined and head over to find Johnny Hi-Fi online!

Truth. Consequences of Gay Marriage? Ummm…Gay Marriage.
Kinda simple as that. Isn’t it?
I still don’t understand what all the fuss is about. And I was raised Mormon. Just sayin’…

Beauty. Tom Ford in my ‘hood!

Sorta.

Brad Pitt donned Tom Ford for the Oakland, CA premiere of MONEYBALL.
So far, this is as close as Mr. Ford has come to my neck of the woods.
Notice I said…so far.  A girl can dream, right?

Truth. Stay awake.
I had to share this beautiful post from the lovely In Fiore. This will be living permanently on my inspiration board!

“Learning how to think really means learning how to exercise some control over how and what you think. It is unimaginably hard to do this, to stay conscious and alive in the adult world day in and day out. Try to stay awake.”~David Foster Wallace

I love when celebrities and people in entertainment use their power for good, don’t you?
Plus, Ken Jeong is one of my favorite people in the world. And Cat Deeley’s pretty adorable too.

I’ve known too many people in the last few years who have had cancer, so this ‘cause is really important to me.
